Cisco DevNet Technical Publication Design

Long-form eBook and technical content design for developer, security, and observability campaigns. Built with structured layouts, interactive navigation, and scalable publication systems.

Overview
I designed technical eBooks and digital publications for Cisco DevNet campaigns focused on AIOps, Full-Stack Observability, Shift Left security, MFA, and Zero Trust implementation. These publications helped educate developers, engineers, and technical audiences while supporting broader content marketing and demand generation initiatives.
Challenge
Cisco DevNet publications needed to communicate complex technical topics in a way that felt clear, credible, and visually engaging. The challenge was to organize dense copy, technical diagrams, statistics, and brand elements into layouts that were easy to navigate and aligned with Cisco DevNet’s evolving visual system.
My Role
I collaborated with copywriters, engineers, developers, product teams, and marketing stakeholders to design each publication from concept through final layout. I built the documents in Adobe InDesign using grid systems, paragraph and character styles, master pages, linked assets, and hyperlinks to improve consistency and usability.
Design Approach
I used clean grids, bold typographic hierarchy, interactive tables of contents, strong section pacing, and strategic use of Cisco DevNet shapes, colors, and photography. The goal was to make technical content more digestible while maintaining a polished branded experience across each publication.

Achievement
This series of whitepapers highlights key achievements in designing innovative solutions. Each publication showcases a specific aspect of the development process, from integrating advanced AIOps and Observability tools for Full-Stack developers to emphasizing the importance of shifting security left in the development cycle. Collectively, these whitepapers demonstrate how Cisco supports these initiatives by providing targeted tools and frameworks, enabling developers, engineers, and the Cisco DevNet community to identify critical security issues early and plan more secure, efficient development processes.
